Let’s clarify this Roe vs. Wade stuff right now.
IF this purposely leaked information is true that Roe vs. Wade will finally be reversed by this SCOTUS, all it means is with the reversal of Roe/Wade, the States would have the right to determine if they want to have abortions legal, to what week of pregnancy they would allow one, and if they would have it paid for by taxpayers.
All these theatrical tantrums we see on the news in D.C. are driven by the leftist lies and half-truths about the issue. They have led the “Feminazis” (Rush Limbaugh word) to believe that they are losing an absolute right to their own bodies. The truth is Roe vs. Wade was argued with parts of four or five Constitutional Amendments in front of a majority “conservative” SCOTUS. The argument, when the transcript are read, are actually very flimsily and requires an extreme reach to see any connection. Many Supreme Court Justices, Conservative as well as Liberal, have said through the years that Roe vs. Wade was an Constitutional travesty and should never have been passed. Why you ask? Because it gave the Federal Govt. overreaching power over the States.
With the passage of Roe/Wade the Federal Govt. took charge over the States right’s to make law about abortion and, more to the point, taxing the American taxpayer for women’s birth-control, pregnancy care and abortions! This has been my argument against this SCOTUS ruling. It is not the place of the tax payer to pay for anyone’s healthcare, no matter what it is. It is not the Federal Govt.’s right to dictate to the States what laws they can or can’t make outside of the Constitution.
I encourage everyone to read the 10th Amendment to the Constitution. And I remind everyone the first ten Amendments are the original Constitution and the 10th covers everything the first nine didn’t.
10th Amendment to the United States Constitution
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.
What this is saying is the States have the right to govern themselves as long as they don’t contradict the Constitution.
Amendment One: Freedom of Speech, Religion and Press.
Amendment Two: Right to Bear Arms
Amendment Three: Military troop occupation of private homes is not allowed.
Amendment Four: Protection for unreasonable search and seizure without a warrant.
Amendment Five: Grand Jury, Self Incrimination and Due Process Protection.
Amendment Six: Right to Speedy Trial, Face Your Accuser, and right to legal representation.
Amendment Seven: Right to Trial by Jury of Peers.
Amendment Eight: Protection Against Cruel Punishment and excessive Bail.
Amendment Nine: Any right not specifically listed is not the Federal governments right to dictate; the people have the right to personal decisions.
These first ten amendments to the Constitution cover everything. The other amendments are government overreach. Amendment ten gave the STATES the right to self governance. Not to say that Amendment XVI (Abolition of Slavery) or Amendment XIX (Women’s Right to Vote) aren’t good, but the 10th Amendment says it is up to the STATES to decide when, what, where, and how a aw governs them.
This is a lot to digest, I realize, but I feel it needed to be said. The Federal Govt. has put the US back under a form of govt. just like what our countries founders left; a dictatorial Monarchy.
